Review of Dreamworld Theme Park in Bangkok, Thailand
When you say Dreamworld in Australia, you automatically think of the Gold Coast in Queensland. We had never even heard of the Dreamworld in Bangkok (not affiliated with the Gold Coast one) before we travelled around Thailand in April 2014.
We do love a good theme park so we thought we would check it out. It is about a 40 minute drive out of the city of Bangkok (depending on traffic) and we all had an absolute blast on our day out there. While it is no Disneyland, it was perfect for kids around our boys ages (7 & 8 at the time). Most of the attraction are aimed at the under 10 crowd.
Opening time is 10.00am and we got there just after that and there was enough for us to do there to keep us occupied for the entire day (5.00pm closing).
Dreamworld has a Fairytale Land, Seven wonders of the World land and a Love Garden which all provide great photo opportunities.
Some of the more adventurous rides are
- Viking Ship
- Black mountain
- Super Splash
- Grand Canyon Rapids ride
- Bumper cars
- Sky Coaster
- Haunted Mansion
Plus a lot of more sedate rides suitable for the younger kids.
They also have a Hollywood Action show which shows off different special effect features (a different version of the Waterworld shows if you have been to Universal Studios before). Kids loved it, even though it was in Thai and they had no idea what was being said!
You can visit an animal farm and an snow house (additional fee) plus there is a cable car and a kids water adventure zone.
There is also a Colours of the World street parade at 3.45pm each day (which unfortunately we missed!).
There are a lot of different price packages you can get for Dreamworld so best to check out the website www.dreamworld,co.th or check with your hotel.
