Little Langham High Tea at the Langham Melbourne – Smurf Theme
The Melba Restaurant/Aria Bar at the Langham Hotel in Melbourne, Australia has come up with a novel way to turn an afternoon High Tea experience into a family fun adventure – the Little Langham High Tea.
We recently went to their Smurf themed Little Langham High Tea where our 2 young boys were treated to something a little bit different but very exciting for them. On arrival there was a plush Smurf toy waiting for them along with an activity pack. Well, you should have seen their faces when out comes their stand of goodies. It contained Smurf cupcakes, chocolate Smurf berries, marshmallow mushrooms, fairy bread and scones along with blue lemonade for refreshments.
Of course the adults were not left out either. We also indulged ourselves with the Langham Classic Tiffin High Tea. On our stand, we had an assortment of sandwiches, scones, chocolate dipped strawberries (my favourite), truffles, chocolate éclairs and lemon tarts.
This was definitely a once off special school holiday treat for us and it would not be suitable for everyone’s budget. Pricing for adults are $59 ea and $35 for kids under 12 (no toy or pack) or $45 with the Smurf toy & activity pack.
The theme of the Little Langham high teas changes every couple of months and the next one is a Barbie Princess Power High Tea. If you are on instagram you may want to follow them @melbarestaurant because with each new theme, they usually have a competition where you can win one of the high teas. We had a very enjoyable afternoon and if only we could win one of their competitions, would happily go back again!
